Viper 791XV, Brand New, Shipped for $400

I have been working with some vendors that distribute alarms, and other parts and accessories for Nissan's and Honda's at wholesale prices. These are brand new, and I'm looking to get atleast 10 people on this deal. If you live around Central NJ you can pick it up. Or $400 shipped which is a firm price.

Not to jack your thread but you can get this alarm - installed - for 100 bucks more with a full warranty from Don (Pearl96max) with full warranty. He's also in central Jersey. I'm sure you were aware of this since his ongoing GD thread is a few posts below yours. If not, than take a look at his post and you can get that alarm and not wait for 10 people to sign up.

The vendors I'm getting the alarms from also give a full warranty, I'm willing to cut the price down to $325 if some people will jump on this. I can recommend Don, as well as some other well known shops around here that can install the alarm for a very reasonable price.

I would like to know where you are getting them from. Also no you will not have a warranty. Viper is an Exclusive line to be sold INSTALLED only by an Authorized Viper dealer.

You can call here to verify this: 1-800-876-0800

There is no problem in getting DEI Alarms from EBAY but you have NO warranty what so ever.

Also if the seller of those alarms is caught, he will get his license suspended for life no questions asked.

Problem is this. Viper allows dealers to install their alarms with full warranty if you buy them from thats dealer. Problem happens when people buy an alarm at the "flea market" and bring it to a dealer to install. The alarm ends up being broken or something else wrong and they want the warranty coverage.. at that point you need to go back to where you got it.
My suggestion is spend the little bit more money.. have Don do the install (which he does a very "clean" job as opposed to these other half a$$ed shops) and drive away with a really nice setup and very clean install.
Then if anything happens just bring it back to Don and your covered. Even buy a new car and your alarm can be moved to it and the warranty is still good for life.

Just my suggestion..

Obviously Don is correct, there is no need to state the obviousness in that. No authorized DEI dealer would be doing something like that, so something is definitely wrong here. I also seriously doubt that Don would want to install one of these alarms if bought from you man. I don't think Don would want to be involved with it because then his license is at risk. Think before you speak man, and don't get in on Don's dealings without asking first.

All this and like posted above, posting this when I already have a GD on here for the past 1.5+ years.

Also...Harris...who did your alarm? Do you have one of these in your car?

I'm usually iffy on GD's for Alarms, especially ones from Viper. I got mines installed from Don way back when and it worked great. He offered full tech support and warrenty on the alarm when my brain fried. Goin out on non certified dealer you may not get warranty coverage... Just my .02

Harris,
Your price is very competitive however I do not agree with your input on the "warranty". DEI keep a good record (Serial #'s) of the alarms that they are selling to their authorized dealers. Anyway DEI will NOT give any warranty to people who do not have their alarms installed by an authorized dealer.

I also have to say that I did get my alarm installed by DON who did it the "correct" way, Prior to that I had another Viper installed by a different authorized dealer who did not install all the parts (relays) required and a sloppy installation. Imagine what some other installers would do, when they know that they don't have to warranty a product that was bought second hand.

I feel more comfortable paying the extra $100 to $150 (On top of your price) to have it correctly done and especially for a PIECE of MIND.

Good luck with your group deal, I do not mean to cause any negative outcome, but since this is an ORG, people buying the product should be aware of what they may or maynot be giving up.

Just to let you all know I had the window modules and most of the bells and whistles put on my 791 and Don did not kill me on the price compared to other installers who wanted close to $900 - $1000 for the 791 and installation.

Like most people stated, I would have to go with spending the extra 100 dollars and having Warranty from DEI along with having Don's Warranty. I don't even know if DEI's warranty is better than Don's. His service is outstanding for us org members and if anyone needs alarms in our area, Don is the guy to see. His tech support is great, he is very prompt and he definitely knows what he's talking about.

And like limsandy said, on ebay they're cheaper and it's pretty much the same deal, they have no warranty, so you're probably better off going on ebay and sell as many of them as you can for $250 or so because that's probably around what you'll get.

not only the warranty...also the 100% perfect installation

also he is online a lot to answer any questions you have--from audio to alarms to anything...he can get it for you

and he will always hook you up..give you tips and anything, $100 goes a long way and since his reputation is so good, what would you trust? Brand X or a guy with such great feedback?

plane ticket

for real though, isn't against DEI's policy to sell alarms without proper installation by the seller? And isn't there a serial number on the alarm that is needed in order for the alarm to be registered? And to be registered doesn't the dealer need to install it?
If the buyer registers it and the dealer did not install it--won't the dealer lose his license?

I bought my Viper 550 ESP alarm at ebay and then get a local certified installer to install it for me. Certified doesnt mean they'll do a good job, but decent to get everything working. However, there is a price to pay..... $400 just for the install.

edit: I had 1 year warranty with the installer, after that, lifetime warranty by DEI.

I know, but what can I do without Don? At least I got lifetime warranty by paying $400. Would you like to install my Viper alarm for $50?

There are vendors in Jersey City and surrounding areas of Central Jersey that install Viper alarms for dealerships. I have talked to these vendors and they buy these alarms to install on vehicles purchased at authorized dealerships. I talked to the vendors about purchasing these alarms in large quantities for literally wholesale prices. The vendors offer a full warranty on vehicles they've worked on that are authorized by dealerships (Ford, Nissan, etc.). I will contact them tomorrow to see if a warranty will still be offered if an alarm is purchased and not installed. There are thousands of DEI products sold on EBay, and other places do they offer full warranties? Quite frankly I don't know. I'm not begging any of you to purchase anything. I just thought it would be a good idea to see the kind of responses I get here. The vendors offer full warranty on alarms purchased through dealers intalled by the vendors. As to exactly where the dealers get the alarms from I don't know, I'm assuming DEI directly.

Ok first of all I don't understand why I have to ask someone to do a group deal. Custom Maxima does group deals similar to what Ange does, Cleared out tail lights etc. I am able to get these alarms at great prices hence, I thought I would post here. Don is strictly in this business, and does this for a living. I on the other hand do not, I was able to talk to some people who can get these alarms cheap hence I thought I would post it here. Don is a cool guy, he did my alarm, and installed it. I'm happy with that. I in no way intended to go on with his dealings. I shouldn't have to ask someone what to sell, where to sell, and how to sell it. There wouldn't be any businesse's out there if that was the case.

With all due respect to Don I in no way intended to go about with his dealings, I wish to deal with Don in the future as I have a long list of audio video stuff that I wish to acquire. Don is a great person to deal with, I have dealt with him personally twice once for my alarm, once for my system both occurences which went great. Please do not in any way shape or form take this GD as a way to interfere with someone's dealings.

Upon further thought I wish to end this GD because it is obviously leering negative thoughts about dealings with similar products. I would like to clarify a few things, I had no intention of 1.) Competing, 2.) Interfering, or 3.) Acknowledgement of a different dealer selling the same product. I wanted to do this one time to see how it would go. I am not a dealer but I can get a hold of this product. Don, I do not want you to take this GD as a hit towards your GD. I do not know the little schmatics of warranties and how they work etc, like I said I'm playing the role of a middleman here. I do wish to acquire different products, and still have you install them. But do not take this GD as an intentional target towards something that you do professionally. You've taken care of me personally when it came to installation and prices, and I do not wish for that to change. I still need a lot of stuff that I wish to acquire from you this coming spring, so I do not want this GD to be taken in a negative manner. Thanks for all your input guys, take care. -Harris.
