95-96 Bose radio not dimming anymore after battery change

It might be a coincidence but it seems that since I swapped my battery the other day the display on my Bose radio is no longer dimming and my dashboard lights seem allot brighter.
I can see this happening when the car is not running but it is brighter all the time. Does anyone think that by changing the battery it may have fixed my bose dimming issue. BTW the battery I took out was the battery that came with the car and its a 95.

Thanks,
Mike

You probably have the dimmer switched clicked to the maximum position. Adjust it and they should automatically dim when you hit the lights. If you have it set to the maximum position where it clicks, the radio will NOT dim when you hit the lights.

The radio did not dim when I hit the lights it would dim all the time sometimes no display at all, common thing with the 95-96 Bose radio. But it seems like swapping the batter may have fixed the problem.
