How Many Here Own an SE-L? (just being nosy)

Just wondering, since I'm looking to get a 2nd SE-L...how many people here have the precious, coveted, highly sought-after, object of envy '99.5 SE Limited?

Good luck looking.

What the hell do I have? It doesn't have the L badges but I do have a 99 Cali spec w/ Traction control, ABS, SR, heated seats and mirrors.

SE-L's are the BEST 4th gen, last run of them, only...i forget how many there are, not many tho. They just have floormats, cali emmisions, blose, sunroof, "titanium" guages, and some other stuff.

Unfortunatly, a deer decided to smack my passenger door last night -

If you're talkin' about your Rosewood, it ain't SE-L (i believe the SE-L's came only in bright red, not rosewood/burgundy)...but you got a kick-ass ride nonetheless.

Holla at me when the time is right....

I picked mine up on 11/24/03 from an Acura dealer w/ 27.6K miles. Love at first sight! I was really shopping for a 5th Gen, but once I saw the SE-L, I had to have it. Didn't even tell my wife in case she talked me out of it!
My parents have a '94 GLE w/ 60K miles, and my dad was going to buy the SE-L if I didn't.

You passed on a 5th gen to buy 4th gen SE-L??? Was the 5th gen an auto or something, I don't understand I don't understand why you would turn down the extra 45 Hp?

I bought by SE-L instead of a 5th gen. That 35 HP isn't all it's cracked up to be. More highway power, but since 4th gens are lighter they can pull 5th gens often. Now the 3.5L is a different story. Couldn't afford one of those or I would have one.

How about saving 6 to 8 grand? How about the miles? How about the car was BRAND FREAKING NEW! The interior is SPOTLESS! I had it checked out before I even negotiated on it, and my mechanic actually wondered if the vehicle EVER saw RAIN! I spoke with the original owner.(60 yo Veitnamese guy who baby'd the car, but saw an Acura HE couldn't pass up)

Have any of you looked at the TL? OMG!

I wanted a 5 speed, but it is an auto....

OH YEAH, I did say LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT!

I'll post pics one of these days......

That is too cool to see other Crimson Blaze(is that the official color name?) Maximas on here. I love how you don't see them hardly ever. Makes it cool to own one.

I don't know how to link homepage on cardomain to www button on the org, but here is the link for my page. I have since put clears on, but have not gotten pictures up there yet.

Cool cars, guys. I like them all. My favorites are the Bright red like mine and the Sterling Mist. However, I like all the colors. I was actually looking for a Sterling mist, until I found a red one and had to have it.

Good luck with modding...

I definitely don't have an alarm...but there is one thing we do have.

Look at your key...inside the black plastic is a chip. Get a copy of your key at any Walmart and try to start your car and drive away. You can't unless you have the chipped key next to the ignition.

hey just a quick question/opinion

when i bought my maxima there were a few on the lot to choose from.
1 or 2 of them were SEL and the rest were SE and GXE. ok now heres my question/opinion.........the SEL did not have the options i wanted....IE mooonroof, leather, ect.....all in one package. were these fake SEL's? Ive seen alot of SEL without leather.........my opinion is that SEL should be fully loaded, every option....if not why is it limited?

I have a SE but it sure is special to me. its fully loaded....

I thought mine didn't have anything...I do have a bose in it

Thinking about it now, I'd be better off w/o the bose
