Hey, budgets got a pretty good rep, right?

I ordered a y pipe last tuesday, and they told me it'd ship on wednesday or thursday. It's saturday now, and still no word from them. I'm not worried, since they didn't charge my card yet, but still, they're closing shop on the 15th and I'd like to get my pipe in before the holidays. I'll give a call on monday, if they still haven't contacted me. How'd budget treat you guys? What was the usual delivery time?

mine took two weeks cuz they were behind or something like that, but it was worth it when i got it. make sure you wrap the flex section unless you like the sound of a rattlesnake hiss. call monday and see what's up, until then, don't worry, they won't screw you.

What are you talking about?????
I didn't wrap the flex section with anything, just installled the way it came from Budget, and there is absolutely no hissing sound!

I just got my pipe from them last night. it took about an extra two or three days longer than I expected, but I'm not complaining really. the pipe looks great, and I can't wait to get it on my car.

That's because during the installation people accidentally bend the flex section and it causes damage to it. If you can keep that flex straight the whole time you are installing it you won't get that noise. Unless it was damaged before that.

took me a WHILE...seriously like 3-4 weeks...It varies with budget. If you are worried, call them, I did, and they told me what was up!

Too bad i dont have the thing anymore...I have to order another!

I ordered one on Thursday, and the woman put me on hold while she went to make sure there was one in stock. She said I got the last one and it would ship Thursday/Friday. I haven't heard anything yet, and they didn't charge my card yet, but I'm starting to wonder because I need to have it during the holidays so I can put it on. I don't see why they didn't ship it yet since she specifically went and made sure one was in stock.

Hopefully Monday they'll tell me something.

Haha, i did the exact same thing and got basically the same response...i got a guy though. He said that i should get it either monday or tuesday assuming they got it out by friday. nothing on my card yet either, i really hope it comes off there so i know it's sent...as of now there is still no charge on my card. I just hope it gets here before the weekend. I had it sent to my friend's shop, and he's got time sat morning to help me put it on...he's got a lift and air tools, so i hope to have it by fri at the latest.

That's kind of funny. Well, I guess at least one of us will be enjoying a new Y pipe over the holidays. If it's you, let me know how you like it.

I dont have any kind of hiss. I had it installed for over 6mo.
I did have the "Heat shield rattle" but took care of that.
I installed it myself at my buddies shop using a lift so we kept the pipe pretty straight.

Budget has a very good rep on the org. They are cheap and very effective. I have a budget y-pipe, Have had it installed in my max for about 2 months. There has been no hissing or problems with the pipe. Budget is usually easy to get along with.
Since it is the hoildays, budget has a harder time getting the pipes to you because the company is a family(mom& pop) business. It's easier for those stores to get the days off and not work as hard. Just be patient, you'll get the y-pipe before christmas.

how well does budget's y-pipe hold up? i'm getting ready to move back to NH this summer, and i'm concerned with how well it's gonna do with all of the winter's road salt. i'm obviously gonna keep it well maintained to prevent rust, but sometimes something like that is unstoppable. what do you guys think?

Some one needs to get a video of this ypipe on the car with a stock exhaust. I want my car to stay quiet.

Well considering they're from canada, and it was originally a canadian part, i think they have a worse time than you do as far as snow and road salt go, plus it's all SS (except for a small section) so it should hold up fine...

-Mine just came in about an hour ago, i'm excited ...would shoot some pics but the pipe is at my friends shop.

-Formz, I'm putting it on with my stock exhaust, and i plan on getting my friend to take a little vid and hopefully post it (Tyler ).

-I'll take pics durring the install....i need a host though, i don't have a webpage .

Excellent thank you. If you need a host I can host the pictures and the video depending on the size.
