Pcv Valve

Does anyone know exactly where the PCV valve is on a 2000? I found what looks like every other one I've ever seen (top of rear valve cover area), I removed the hose, but it refused to twist side to side or budge up and out??? Any help would be appreciated.

Here with the red arrow is the PCV valve. I did mine a little while ago and found that it was a buggar to remove. I managed to yank on the hose hard enough that the pcv valve came out - although the hose was close to just coming right off the end of the pcv valve (ie, hose comes but valve doesn't!), because the valve was in there so hard (when I put it back I coated it with a bit of oil; somebody mentioned that it would help insertion and eventual removal).

WHATS THE AFTER EFFECT OF REPLACING THE PCV VALVE?

well, If Your Pcv Valve Is Bad And Not Flowing Properly It Can Cause The Pressures In The Crankcase To Be Higher Than They Should Be Afaik. Not Sure How Huge A Deal It Is, But I Believe That If It's Really Gummed Up And Not Functioning You Can Have Oil Leaks And Things Of That Nature.
