Curb Weight
How come major publications have the curb weight of my '03 as anything from 3400 to 3600 pounds. On the inner part of driver's door the tag reads a bit over 4200 pounds. Now the vehicles they tested tended to be fully loaded Maxima's like mine. When looking at base GXE's with little options the tag on the driver's door tends to be close to my car's.
can anyone explain the 600 to 800 pound difference in curb weight usually published in magazines while the actual vehicles weigh significantly more?
