5sp swap, help needed
5sp swap, help needed
i have a quick question for the swap gurus: I've removed my auto tranny/tq converter, etc. only to discover some sort of adapter bushing in the crank where the pilot bushing needs to go. Its like a little metal donut. I assume it must be removed, any ideas on how to get it out of there? I've tried prying with a screwdriver, but its pretty tight. Thanks!

Nope, I never used it either. But, when you are putting the clutch on, make sure you do NOT use the alignment tool that comes with the clutch set. The end of the clutch tool will sit on the bottom of that "donut" where the pilot bushing should be. I have tried a few ways to align the clutch without one, but the best way was by the eye. Good luck with the swap.
