new car (long post)

(96 5 speed pebble beige / tan leather 85,000)my car has a rebuilt title now due to an idiot two months ago. last week while driving my car starts to overheat. i get off the expressway and shut it down and let it cool off. when i tried to start the car back after putting water in the radiator the car wouldnt start. i checked my oil level to see if water was on my dipstick. no water, so im thinking what the heck is wrong with my car. well i tow the car home and after several tests i came to the conclusion it is the head gasket but the water didnt reach the engine becuase it must have cracked when i shut the car off and the temperature kept rising. well anyways i went to a shop to find and engine found one for 600 and about 400 to drop it. while walking around i found a 97 black on black leather with 92000 miles sunroof ,no bose, 5 speed . basically everything i wanted. the only thing is that it has a rebuilt title as well. the shop owner is asking for $2000 plus my car (as is with bad engine, no radio or speakers stock rims) and its mine. i am gonna get it regardless of what you guys say but i would like to hear your thoughts anyways. i look at it as if i am paying 1000 dollars for a new interior and paintjob since i was gonna change my interior in a couple of months but my engine faliure halted that. my mom is mad cuz this is gonna be my 6th car , but im sure this will be held on to for a long time because i wouldnt mind fixing this car. all my other cars when something went wrong i used it as an excuse to sell my car and get a different car.

ok stop! Getting a 92k miles car with a rebuilt title means you will end up with **** load of problems..

Check Everything.. Take it to a mechanic to get it checked.. Clutch, leaks, sensors check how it runs aswell.. Who knows who took care of this car might of been abused like crazy..
Tranny may be going you never know ask for a 90 days warranty.

I would check for leaks!!

take a test drive on the highway aswell listen to any unusual noises the car makes.

Just be very carefull a maxima with over 90k is a high risk buy expect to spend another $2,000 to fix alot of problems you will have
