Pictures of the new Lexus GS just hit the internet and it looks a lot like the 2004 Maxima. I think once the GS hits the road there will be a boost in Maxima sales considering they look very much a like and the Maxima is cheaper.

The profile from every angle is very similar to the 6th gen, however its tough to determine similarties beyond that from the pictures.

Due to there subjective nature I usually abstain from comments regarding esthetics and design, but that interior is in a different league compared to the 6th gen Max's interior. Then again the GS does hang with slightly larager lads .

Wow, remarkably similar in appearance -- I like it.

I only wish Nissan would reduce the fenderwell-to-tire gap from the factory like Lexus, BMW, etc. They did better on the 6th gen than the 5th gen, but still a lot of "room" for improvement.

The rear gap on my 6th gen is "just right", the front is too much. I'm toying with throwing some Eibach's in, but I really only want the front lowered, not the rear.

Did everyone look at all 4 pages of pictures of the new Lexus GS?
The tail lights look like a copy of the G35 lights and the 06 Max has a nicer front head light assembly. From the side they could be twins. Even the rear window has the same pillar treatment! On the highway doing 60 you would have a hard time telling them apart! You see even Toyota can't design for themsleves....lots of copying here!

I agree it does resemble the 04 Max alot especially from the side and rear profiles.

Whatever. The Altima and new Max are blatant GS knock-offs. Seeing the new GS styling is evolutionary, they will continue to look alike, to the dismay of Lexus owners world-wide.

Dang. I'll take one of those with the 4.3 V8 please.

Actually I see they make a GS430. An IS300 with the 4.3l engine stuffed under the hood. Putting 340hp into that car makes it schweeeet.

That's because the front wheels have to steer, the rear wheels don't. You can lower it all you want if you drive in a straight line everywhere.
