I just went in this morning and had my car redynoed with the TS reflash. Man, I was really ****ed. The car had not make any power, but lost power & torque. What freakin gives? I had the car dynoed in the hot summer with ambient temp. at 80 degrees & humid and put down 202.8 h.p. & 220.2 tq. Now in winter with ambient temp at 50 degrees in shop it laid down 198.9 h.p.& 217.1 tq. My automatic 02 Max has Injen cai , UR pulley , Frankencar exhaust with both dynos. air/fuel ratio was o.k. and we even checked the plugs which were great. I only have 33k on my Max. and it is in excellent running condition, at least I thought. Only thing I can think of was 2 weeks ago I had my crank position sensor replaced. (recall) Even manual shifting the car at the 7100 rpm redline didn't yield any significant increases, actually lost more , but I guess that was from heat soak. Any suggestions?? how do I post dyno pics??

someone is going to have to host the pics for you. Did you use the same dyno both times (before and after)? I would be interested to see how your dyno curves look like.
wasn't there also a certain way to reset the computer after the TS ECU install? Its on their website for the 350z guys.

sorry to hear that bro....does the car pull faster/harder- perhaps your powerband is beefier
across the powerband as opposed to peakier at some rpms-
actually even so those numbers seem too low
what I did was use my digicam to take pic of dyno chart and then put in my car domain site

At least that part, but some have suspected that a Nissan flash may not 100% overwrite.

Can anyone ELSE see the dyno?
I'm wondering if summer vs. winter gas, correction factor, or something is making your car sick. At least I hope it's something like that.
The BEFORE dyno is kind of jagged, but the AFTER is pretty smooth. It could just be the "smooth factor" the dyno guy chose, but that looks funny to me.

I cant see the dynos! Im really sorry to hear that man. Hopefully nissan messed with your ecu or something else went wrong thats no fault of TS. I doubt winter gas could make that much difference. Your running 93 octane i assume since your not in cali. Could add some toluene to see if that did anything but i doubt it makes much difference unless you got some incredibly ****ty gas or put in 87 or something. Good luck...hope you get this figured out.
That's funny you started this thread....because last month 2 org members (that have the Technosquare ECU) and i went to the dyno. One car didn't go, but the other car did and to all our surprise my (bone stock) car had higher numbers than his. His car had intake, muffler and ecu. We concluded that something might be wrong with his car....before he layed down stronger numbers, but now with this. Hmmm....maybe the ecu doesn't work as well as had been said. Has anyone actually seen an increase? Do you think their numbers were only on stock maximas?
This might be a dumb question but when TS reflashes your ecu do they account for what mods you have or do they just have one map for stock cars? I remember after dyno tunning my friends wrx, he later did i few mods and it wasnt working right until he had it retunned. Just a thought..

Forget 7100 redline your not making adequate power no where near there...

Thanks...that eliminates that possibility, however I wonder if the "new" sensor could cause power loss somehow.

They have pretty specific flashes...and that is just for auto/manual, different packages you might have on the car...etc. For mine, I had them flash with more fuel and higher timing due to certain new parts I was putting on.
quangsung's car has a failed VIS and here's the dyno chart with both our numbers- Dennis is moreheavily modded (ypipe/UDP/ Bpipe/Intake)

that is weird becuase when i went and dynoed after they flashed my car it got about 210 hp and that was stock with just the ecu. but that was not on a dynojet. you have to remember that there are so many factors in dynoing. like what gear u stared in, how much psi was in your tires and such. the lower the psi the lower the hp. the higher the psi your hp will increase.

Kloogy's auto is puttin 230 wtq and he has less mods than jeromes car
thats what im saying there is something wrong or teh people who dynoed your car are stupid and dont know how to do it correctly. im like 100% sure that the ecu didnt cause your hp or tq to go down. my dynoing my car soon so i will post when i get the results

The cps upgrade has something to do with people having problems with theire catylitic converters prematurely wearing out. go figure. I guess I will send Ecu back out to TS to have reflashed. and hopefully thats it. and then redyno , maybe somere else. I sent the other dyno Ice hope you got it. will keep you posted.

Maybe it is...just making sure the OTHER one he goes to is for comparison sake to other peoples numbers.

IIRC...winter gas contains more alcohol(cleaner burning), since the knock threshold is lowered by the colder temps but you lose around 1-octane point AND it doesn't have BTU(calorie?) power gas does.
