fault injector (again). need to replace gaskets?

hi all,

six months ago I replaced all my fuel injectors. it turns out that injector #4 just went bad (it reads 200ohms whereas the rest read 11.8ohms).

so I need to rip out everything again to replace this injector. do I need to replace all my gaskets again given that it's been only 6 months (about 5k miles)? the gaskets cost me $57!

please help, thanks.

injector #4 is front center.

$57 for gaskets? hmm, I dont know why it costs so much. The plenum gasket should be about $7, throttle body people say $2 or something like that, I didnt even replace my TB gasket or EGR.

Depends on what kind of shape they are in, IMO. After 6 mo, they should still be fine, so as long as you don't damage them taking things apart, it's all good.

I bought a set of gaskets from Autozone, and it was like $50. It had upper and lower plenums and the metal one for the lower intake. So it was kind of overkill, since I didn't use the lower intake one. Like MrGone says, you can probably buy them separately for cheaper. (OK, so it was my first time..)

yeah, front center.

$57 was at the stealer (included upper/lower plenum/2 throttle body/egr valve); it was my first time too
but I'll check the condition of them and hopefully they aren't too bad ...

thanks!

front center on the VE can be done in 20 mins.
without any gaskets needed.
