Did you factory order?

If so, how long was your quoted and actual delivery time. I understand that the Nissan process leaves a lot to be desired, and that even the dealerships don't know when the car is being built, but what kind of time were you quoted, and how close was it to reality?

I ordered 65 days ago with an estimate of 60 day delivery, but my dealer doesn't even have a VIN for me yet. Not feeling warm and fuzzy.

I factory ordered back in the beginning of May - was told then that the build time was 6-8 weeks. Mine was delivered on June 26th - just about as promised. I've been very happy with the car, and was glad I factory ordered to get *exactly* what I wanted.

All of the dealers have to put in their factory orders by the 5th of every month, and you should expect the car roughly two months from then, give or take.

Your dealer should be able to give you better answers by now, unless 1) they somehow screwed up your order, or 2) never placed the special order and tried to do a dealer exchange on your car instead. I've heard stories of just that on both this forum and FreshAlloy. Be advised.

Good luck - hope your ride shows up soon.

I ordered mine the second monday of June, and it came in the 10th of August, even though, I didn't buy that one.

I factory ordered mine on March 16th with a quoted delivery date of 3 months, and on June 16th I picked up my Maxima.

Thanks guys..... I may have to go test drive a TL, as much as I like the styling of the Max better. I waited till the last minute to order, but my current eggbeater just blew a CV and I'm down to borrowing a 1990 pickup from a friend.

Not sure if even a Max is worth another month of AM radio only, no heat, a bench seat, and a VERY loose front end.

A CV joint would cost like 200 bucks to fix. If you are dropping 25-35,000 on a Maxima, I would hope you could afford that.
