your fender doesn't look bent at least not on the picture. The worst part is the air bags, everything else isn't that bad.
You can get aftermarket 97 bumper primed for $80, and hood for like $200 (but I think it's cheaper to buy it off somebody). I though it was alot worse.

What's up with the airbags?? The damage looks light, yet they still deployed...

Hey, hope you are ok bud. The car on the other hand, well, it can be fixed.

Is the ins. company going to total it cause the bags went off?

scary thats looks exactly how my car looks right now (even the same side) after hitting a deer at about 70mph. except my turn lamp was totalled as well. wow i realize now how lucky i was that my air bags did not go off. i got an estimate for 2500$ i dont know if im gonna fix it since its a 95 with 153xxx miles on it and i put functioning headlamps and stuff so its all cosmetic. ill get a check for 2000 from my insurance company after the deductable is subtracted. i still might replace the hood and quarterpanel they are pretty cheap probly 300 for the two plus whatever to get them painted. I feel your pain

i actually kinda like the 95-96 front....i really love my fogs. but just for curiousity sake. what do i need for 97 conversion.. 97 bumper, is the hood different.. will the 95-96 headlight fit? will a 95-96 grill fit..the thing i hate about 97-99 is the grill.. there are no borders.

i dont know why my air bags deployed.. im not getting those fixed rigth away.i may do it later when i have funds... problem is were not going thru insurance..i only have liability and the person i hit only wants about 300 bucks for his old school steel bumper that i barely managed to dent.

All you need is a bumper and grille to do the 97+ conversion. The hood is the same and you can still use your 95 headlights (the 97+ are plastic and more clearer, but exactly the same size).

That def doesn't look like the airbags should have gone off. The damage is not that bad at all.

Sorry to hear that though...good luck with getting **** back together.

I just looked at the costs of doing the 97+ conversion after my wreck. Morale of the story- i did just the 97 grille (shaved on the bottom) and replaced the headlights with more 95-96. The corner lights are 95 as well

My damage looked a lot worse than that, did much more damage (according to the insurance co), but no airbag deployment. It was easily repairable, though.

I am doing my own lights and grille replacement, but leting the body shop do the other work.

For the 97+ I would have had to do new fogs (as much as $200 for the set), bumper, grille, and headlights for the full swap.

For the bare bones, 97+ grille and fogs, or leave off the fogs, and the bumper. I just got lazy and just did the grill and said screw it.

Sorry man. If I had chance again I would get a newer max but thats because I want a 5spd. Mine was way worse than that and my bags didn't go off. Oh well it made it so my damages were only $5800.

On my '93 I hit 4 (count em) 4 dogs at one time and it did less damage than that. Stupid ****ers ran out in front of me all together and got plowed. That 93's got a tough bumper and all I lsot was a headlight and $50 to ahve my hood straightened a bit. BTW: Glad you're ok. Good luck w/ the front end conversion.

Sorry to hear about that man, I hope your doing ok. I did a full 97 front conversion on my 95 last year, heres a shot to help convince ya. (some lady completely locked up her brakes on the freeway in the fast lane for traffic slowing 1000 feet ahead and i rear-ended her)

Original 95 front
