windshield wipers

I don't know if it's the blades or the fluid but whnever I clean my windshield with the fluid it makes smudge marks all over and makes it really unclear. Should I replace the fluid or is there a way to see if it's the wipers?

I thought perhaps there was some type of filter that needed to be changed.

Naw, i had the same problem, get new blades, The rubber inserts fit into some peoples wipers, i had to get new wipers though, the rubber from auto zone didnt fit in to my oem ones.

2 new wipers = about 18 dollars. not bad,and they work great now, big improvement, and it really does make a difference=)

It is probably the wipers. If you have had them for a year or more they need to be replaced. They do not last long. A wiper is a thin piece of rubber that dries out and cracks. Trico Exact Fit is a good blade. They are only about $7-8 each at pepboys or advance auto. Trico also makes refiills so next time it will only be about $4 each.

Anyone try those silicone wiper blades? There is a silicone wiper blade at Wal-mart that has lifetime warranty

those piaa silicone blades are good, they work well, but if you're using rain-x (like everyone should, that stuff is a godsend) it's pretty much overkill to have the silicones.
