Will removing the resonator help?

On the stock intake piping, would removing the resonator (that thick peice between the the intake manifold and the "pop charger") help at all with power at all? Any reason not to replace it with normal piping?

Nah... replaced mine a long time ago.. it made the intake twice as loud, but it didn't do squat for power. I put the resonator back on.

All removing the resonator does is make your intake louder. Its more of a silencer than a power blocker.

I was thinking of removing mine and plugging it - for more "growl". Did doing this make it too noisy even at lower engine speeds?

I'm just wondering because with my popcharger you already bypass one resonator buried in the front fender and I think the car doesn't sound much different from stock if driven mildly.

How about at highway speeds (~2500 rpm)?

Unless you have "digital" driving habits? (On/Off only?)

I took all of that out, and you can hear my intake REALLY well! lol Almost too loudly. But, I like it like that and it gives a nice growl to my new Civic cat-back exhaust on there.
