Jet performance chip

I saw the Jet performance chip upgrade for the ECU on custom maxima. Is this upgrade worth getting? any opinions?

I heard that Jet is crap. But if you still want it you can get it cheaper at jcwhitney --and then custommaxima will beat the price by 5%.

--I'd wait--- some rumors about technosquare coming out with some better ecu's

Why is the chip crap? No gains, or does it hack the car up?

i emailed them a while ago and i found out that for a 98 maxima that their chip doesnt raise the speed or rev limiter. They do that changing of somethings but i think the only reason to get a chip would be to push back the rev limiter and remove the speed limiter and it fails doing either

stop misinforming people, please.

people don't buy ECU upgrades just to raise the speed and rev limiters. ECU upgrades (the ones that work, anyway) advance timing and alter the fuel/air ratio.

** it actually increases your car's performance, aside from rev limiters and speed limiters. **

a lot of people throwing around some bs information about ECU upgrades lately.

quick layout once and for all:

  • [*]

for anyone who was unaware of any or all of this information... no, I'm not a genius. I just do research before asking questions.
