if you do it at the shop do they ask anything about it being legal?

If you're willing to shell out 60-70 dollars and don't want headache.. Take it to a shop. They should have little or no problems with it. As for legality.. They aren't gonna throw you in jail for wanting to put it on. They just want your money. Most shops will do it.

I got mine done at a performance shop. The muffler shops in my area wouldn't do it, b/c I was loosing my pre-cats. They charged me $60 for it.
