Tired of my ricey muffler and stockish exhaust

So I might put on my old exhaust system that I had before the accident. Cattman Y with a fubar'd but wrapped flex, RT cat, custom cat-back and y2k maxima muffler. That was a sweet sounding system.

Does Napa sell the Y o-rings? I don't need the other flange gaskets as my connections are all ball joint type

If it feels like it improve things, I should probably dyno again. It will probably help the hp(175hp) but might might help or hurt the torque(185 ftlbs).

I'll have the original VE proformance Ypipe as a spare. Just a FYI. This is either THE or one of the 1st, ever performance Y pipe made for the 3-gen. It was a custom dealie. Works very well still.

You might have to go to the dealer for the o rings. I have checked many part stores and none carry it.

Yeah, I got my o-rings from NAPA, as well as the gasket for the cat. They even had them in stock here, believe it or not. I don't think they were all that much, either. We have a dealership here, but I don't care for their service dept. so I just got them from NAPA.

I just got back from Napa. The regional Napa supplier is just south of me near Ikea. They were like $4.xx each.

Everyone seems to overlook it but, Borla turbo mufflers are SS, $100 and they sound pretty good on Vg's so they could only sound better on the VE.

I just got done. No more fart can exhaust! Just sweet sounding exahust along with a nice Porshe like rasp when getting on it.

Dunno if it's stronger or not. Might have a tad more low end.

I also got one rear RSB link welded on. But for the life of me I couldn't get the 2nd one to stick. Geez, Spent 2 hours trying.

What Side was it that was causing problems, drivers or passenger?

I wanna hear what it sounds like.

go out and check, I wanna know

Do they normally break under hard cornering, potholes/speed bumps, or it just whenever because the metal is fatigued?

How long has it been Dave, 3 weeks? I think it's been longer.
