Injen vs. Weapon R

I pretty much took my max back to stock for the winter. the only thing I have on there now is a Y-pipe. I don't know how, but my dog got a hold of my Injen intake, so its his new chew toy. What I am getting to is, should I spring for a new Injen or should I go with the Weapon R. If I go with another injen then can anybody tell me where to find them cheap. I paid $240 plus shipping for the old one.

Did he chew the whole thing up? or just the filter and rubber peices? It may be cheaper to just replace that stuff. If cujo chewed up the metal and everything, You can get one for $211 i think from www.adventon.com. I don't know about weapon R, i think custommaxima has them though.

edit: just checked adventon.com, apparently they jacked up their prices. However, the site says they're having a sale on them and to call for pricing. That's where I got mine like 2 yrs ago. I paid $211 IIRC.

That is such BS and I'm tired of everyone using that as an excuse. I have in my garage a 1 year old WEAPON R foam filter that a friend left behind. There is NO WAY that any foam could actually get in the engine unless you cut the thing up. The foam filters aren't like the traditional filter where the filter material is only the shell of the filter. Foam filters are filled from one end to the other with foam. It would take years of abuse for the whole 5"+ thick wall of foam to just fall out and get inside the engine. Even if it does fall apart it does it from the outside since that's where all the particles get stuck and that's where they eat away at the foam. If you see that the foam has DEEP holes hen get rid of it.
