Anti Rattle Springs for Brake Pads

Just wondering if anyone installed their pads without the Anti Rattle Springs that sit on top of the brake pads?

I lost one and Nissan told me they are not included in the Brake kit and it is not necessary.

Is this true..any probs with running without them?

If anyone has an extra one...I will pay what you want for it and to ship it to me...very small piece but piece of mind for me when stopping.

Just PM me if you have one I can buy.

Help me out folks.

new OEM pads come without spring clips - i was bit reluctant first when i picked new set of pads and noticed no holes for spring clips.Got them installed and there is no noise.

i think i might have few springs laying around somewhere in garage

are you using new OEM nissan pads ????

I believe they changed the pads to come without the spring clip holes in them. I was also reluctant to change to the new style, but surprisingly they make no noise when installed.

I ran some porterfields without those clip things. Did not notice a difference other than whay seemed to be very quick wear... I replaced the pads after a year. When I put the new pads on since I threw the clips away I went to Autozone and paid I think 8 bucks for a brake parts kit or something liek that and it had all the new clips in there.
