Finally got this damn AVC-R to work!!!

Ok basically for the last two weeks myself, Da-Max, and Fashizle installed my avc-r anc could not get the dag on thing to work. so I've been testing this thing in all kinds of ways to get it to work and to no avail the controller was not controlling my boost at all! the car would not go over 5.5 lbs of boost. then slowly over the last few days, the car has been boosting a little more each day. This told me it was the spring that was actually running the car, not the controller. I actually took the boost solenoid valve out of the car last nigt and drove the car all day to make sure. and I was correct. Tonight i put the damn thing back in the car and changed a duty cycle setting on the unit and wow it worked!!!!!they say that you should use a 70% duty cycle for external wastegates but it really needs about 90%. the car went to 10lbs of boost and I lost all traction!!!!! nice!!!! so since I had only dynoed the car at 5.5lbs now i am off to the dyno on Sat. to make sure I don't break anything by not having enough fuel.

Oh and if I had the chance to get a different boost controller, I would Apexi's tech support SUX A.S.S I had to teach them about their Product. Also this thing is too hard to understand

Ok, so now that you know how it works, do a writup on it, and let us all know what the company doesn't know. does anybody on here have the Apexi unit? post here and tell us about it.

I know that I will be needing a boost controler soon, but manual boost controlers scare the **** out of me.

I spoke to you over the phone and told you to get the blitz SBC-ID. Very simple boost controller, yet very efficient. I know this one takes two separate readings and balances boost from one end to the other.

Glad to hear you got it fixed. I got my eManage installed last night as well. Just waiting on those parts to test out the ignition harness as well. Then I will send you the parts as well to make it work.
