300zx MAS in a Maxima?!

Is there any possible way to wire up a MAS from a 300zx for additional HP? have seen a couple individuals mentioning about it. Just curious...

It can be bought and wired up in your car for fairly cheap, but you will not see any HP gains from it.

Since most/all of the users of the 300ZX MAF are boosted, it will not help you out at all.

Yeah but 300zx MAF (oops from before) are exactly the same in both the TT and NA versions. So would htis allow for more air being recognized when say you are boosted yourself?! Just seeing if there would be any benefit from an endeavor like this one.

The Z32 MAF is allmost 50% larger than ours (A32). This means that for a given voltage (what the ECU sees) there would be 50% more airflow. This would confuse the ECU to say the least.

How could someone apply this idea to their Max's ECU? Could a re-programer get success from this? For example JWT or Technosquare?

Also, what is Technosquares homepage address?! Thanks.

No not really....i used to have a 300zx, there is no real difference between the two. Not enough to make extra horses.

Check out the boost forum. Several people have JWT ECUs reprogrammed to run the Z32 MAF and larger injectors.

Funny thing though, someone found a shortcut. The larger injectors (cant remember which ones) could be used with the larger MAF and a stock ECU. See when a stock ECU sees a certain voltage, it gives a certain amount of fuel (in open loop mode, at WOT). Well, when both your MAF and your injectors are about 50% bigger than stock, they balance each other out. Neato.
