Anyone running a 5 lb flywheel?

I think my clutch went bye-bye today

At least I can replace everything with an eye for the most performance.

Only thing is- I hear that its possible that you could have issues with a flywheel as light as 5 or 7 lbs. Is this a fact? Has anyone really had problems going with 5 lbs? (the one I would want)

Is anyone successfully using 5lb flywheels?

I DO have the Unorthodox UDP....

Thanks all-

Baby it. No hard shifts or high rpms shifts for a min. of 500 miles.

Just take it easy, no hard launches, dumping or slipping the clutch excessively. Do it for about 500 + miles.

You will not notice any HP gains. What kind of clutch did you buy? I have a UR5lb flywheel and a ACT stage 2 clutch. Shifting at higher speed and low RPMs i get a hesitation, i dont know if this is normal. The clutch splipped with 2 passengers and nitrous injection. Break in period sucks ***, if you accelerate slow it vibrates tremendously. Fast acceleration is a must "dont kill yourself".

Depending on what clutch he has he may not experience the vibration. Exedy clutches are really smooth and have no chatter.
Thats what I have. Yes at low rpms i get a hesitation also, the flywheel is just too light too shift at low rpms and trying to punch it results in that hesitation .
