Anyone bought from Oxygensensors.com?

I need to get a rear o2 senser for my 97 gxe max. I notice they have 3 brand names for OEM;
Walker 68$
Denso 90$
Bosch 96$

I was wondering if you guys could suggest which one would be best? Also, since it's OEM , is it just plug and play ( no splicing wires?)

Thank you for your time.

Bosch is OEM. Don't buy a universal one unless you like splicing and many will say that buying a rear sensor is a waste as it doesn't do anything. If you need it for emissions then get it. Buy the cheapest one.

all 3 i listed are OEM. Maybe at WOT it doenst do anything, but when your not flooring it , it has a purpose. I dont need it for emissions, I just want my check engine light off. So when you say just buy the cheapest OEM, I should go with the Walker for 68$ ??

Thanks

The rear oxygen sensor (behind the cat) has nothing to do with controlling the AF ratio, ever. It is there to measure the performance of the catalytic converter.

The ECU comapres the readings from the front sensors to the rear sensor to determine how well the cat is working. The cat is allowed to deteriorate at a certain rate over its life. If the ECU notices that it is not functioning properly, it triggers a CEL with the rear O2 out of range code.

I have used the company and they were real quick and accurate with my order. Like stated above, get the OEM replacement. It plug right in w/ no splicing.

The rear O2 sensor signal is not used by the PCM to manage the engine, but it still throws off the annoying CEL if the PCM reads it`s values are out of range, i.e. bad. I had a rear o2 sensor malfunction, and I replaced it with a O2 sensor simulator. My only intention was to fool the PCM and turn off the CEL. (There are no emissions inspection in the province I live.) The simulator cost like 20$ less than a genuine O2 sensor. I did a couple of wire splicing. Everything worked perfectly well. Bought the simulator from baker electronics off ebay.

What I'm saying is if the CEL is triggered by a rear (downstream) O2 sensor, this one can be replaced by a simulator. Simulators dont work for the upstream O2 sensors

I got all new O2 sensors from www.thepartsbin.com and found the best prices there. I see the bosch sensor for 78 bucks.

Good thread. I need to replace O2 sensor in bank 1 in the front. I noticed on their site the picture shows 4 different O2 sensors places, and 4 different ones based on location, which one do I need to get for bank1 im assuming its front on the driver side. Are they all the same for the front, or do i need a specific one?

Oxygensensors.com is reliable, fast and cheap. I have bought from them three times (two Maximas!). I usually have the order in my hands within two days.

I dunno about that, i would replace the o2 first , and then CHECK the CAT if you can, or just see if the CEL comes on again. If you have a brand new o2 back there, and it comes on again, then i would consider changing out your CAT.

Good Luck.

Thanks guys for all your help and information, I think this thread helped more than just me

You're wrong

The Bank 1 and Bank 2 are the upstream sensors.
