Is there any problem putting p225 instead of p215 on stock 97 SE rims?

I personally

have not tried this since I have the 15" rims for my GLE. These are 205/65 15". I know the 6.5" rims for the SE come with stock 215/55 16's on these. I have read that a few members of this board have tried this --and it has worked (using the 225/50 16)---and the tires they recommend and is the most popular is the dunlop sp 5000.
check the search function and I am sure you can find some posts regarding that. hope that helps.

225-50-16s

I have put 225/50-16 Dunlop SP5000s on my stock 16" rims and they fit very well. There will be a slight bulge, but I actually like the look, looks beefier. These Dunlops are also great! I have had them for about 5000 miles now. Hope this helps.

Thanks, for the reply. Do you know if it affected the speedo accuracy.
