Suspension Clunking/Creaking

Recently I think something has gone wrong with my suspension. Heres the deal: One day I noticed a loud creaking while turning the steering wheel, thought nothing of it...just a little annoyance. Now, its gotten pregressively worse and the creaking is louder, and I am beginning to hear a clunking when turning, and accleration/deceleration. The clunking sounds like the suspension isnt bolted on, just flopping around....usualy clunks when theres some kind of suspension movement (accelleration/deceleration), and is noticable when I slowly start accelerating. Does anyone know what I should look at, and what are some diagnostic tips? (oh BTW, it *sounds* like its coming from the front drivers side)

Maybe a CV joint? Does it only do it when turning either left or right? Is it a loud grinding kind of sound?

I dont think its a CV. It creaks and clunks even when at a complete stop, and regardless of the engine being on or off. No grinding sound, just like a metal-metal squeak and a somewhat frequent hollow clunk like the suspension is loose

when my struts were bad they made a clunking noise when I went over the slightest bumps, sounded like something was loose. Replaced them and it went away.

As far as the creaking...I dunno about that.

I'm not sure if it's the only thing but, it sounds like your strut bearings bad. Here's something to read.
