to those who ordered a Warpspeed Y...

I just got my Y-pipe in the mail today. It came with one rubber gasket, two metal ones, and two bolts. I know there are 8 bolts to remove the pipe. Are all 8 bolts the same as the 2 that came with the pipe? Also, where does the rubber gasket go? Any help is greatly appreciated. I wanna get this baby in! Thanks!

Sounds like you got the Catconverter kit if you received nuts with the deal. I got two circular (crush) ring gaskets and an oval gasket to go between the Y-pipe Catconverter with mine... Try to drench the nuts with PB Blaster or any other penetrating oil, in several applications, days prior to the install. Air tools and an autmotive lift are the way to go with this install. Be Safe...

I just did mine the other day. I snapped a stud on the cat, even after letting it soak in PB blaster for a while too. Had to drill it out and put in a nut and bolt. Besides this, it wasn't too bad.

I have some clunk under very hard acceleration in 1st (ie. launching hard) I can't seem to find where and/or what could be hitting though.

3rd pulls real nice now on the highway

Did yours come with the 2 bolts? Are all 8 bolts the same size?

Mine came with no bolts.... Just the pipe, two ring gaskets, and the gasket for between the Ypipe and cat.

mine came with the two bolts, but you don't need them. If you end up stripping the nut without breaking the stud you cant use those either, they are a different thread. We had to go to the hardware store and get a new one. Good luck

just use whatever hardware comes off your car, maxevolution. the 'rubber' gasket must go between the y-pipe and the cat, because the metal ones are for the vertical portions of the Y.

Ok, The two bolts are for the cat. They do not supply the other 6 bolts b/c they are less likely to rust and I think they are actually part of the exhaust manifold. The more flexible oval gasket goes between the cat and y-pipe. The two ring gaskets go between the exhaust manifold and the y-pipe.

I got the clunking too. It was only in 1st and a little in 2nd. It goes away. I think it is the bracket on the hanger right by the cat. Mine went away within a few days.
