The mod bug got me today...

Even though i'm trying to sell my max....i must buy something today....
There's been a lot of talk about y-pipes lately...don't know why i haven't bought one yet...

I must have it....NOW!!!
i guess it's too early because no one's answering the phone yet....

Will I be happy with the purchase??? I do have an auto not a 5speed...
should give me some gains though right???
my fiance is gonna kill me

Even at that price the Budget is a better product. Aluminized steel vs. Stainless steel.

LOL!!!!

Just as I suspected all along, a 5 speed hater. So that's why you had to hate on me for simply bringing up the notion of a race with a 330 auto. Just cause you're ****ed your auto won't even beat a 325 manual you had to come in my thread and screw it all up.

Yeah yeah yeah I know this is silly but because of YOU, your pointless use of condescention, my otherwise intelligent thread got closed.

Forgive me for sounding immature.

But hey, you started it.

Okay, hostility aside, since when did the org limit when someone can post what?

i did not start anything...and to answer your question...

4th gen forum guidelines:::::::::::::::::::::;

Street Racing threads (kill threads) Post #3

In an effort to reduce the number of street racing threads (or "I raced a such-and-such and won/lost" type threads), they will only be allowed during the weekends.

During the week (Monday morning - Friday afternoon), such threads will be locked and deleted.

Please do not abuse this by turning the 4th gen forum into a street racing/kill forum during the weekends.

"Kills" at the track are of course exempt from this new rule.

I stand corrected.

This forum has changed ALOT since I've been on last. I hardly recognize anyone on here. I've taken about a two year break from it and just recently got back on. And seriously, back in those days almost every post was a race story or something of the like. That's probably why they made up that rule.

What does suck however is I did post a "real" thread asking about maintenance a few weeks ago, a specific question not covered in the FAQ's, and noone responded at all. Back in the days when the 4 gen was a "street racing/kill forum" it would have been answered in five minutes.

Peace.....

Yeah yeah yeah lol.......but don't act like you didn't bring tension in my thread.

Nevertheless it's all good.

Go down to your local muffler shop and ask them to build you a y-pipe. You'll save big bucks and the difference in performance would not be noticeable so I've been told. I know of several people who have done this.

So, you can save a bit by having a local shop fabricate a Y for you, huh? Sounds like a good idea. Why pay top dollar for something you don't have to wait for and pay through the nose. I may give it a shot.

Doesn't matter if it's auto. Y pipe will give you good gains.... but why are you modding your car when you're about to sell it? It's not going to increase the value. Especially with maximas, most of the people who'd be interested in it would prefer a car without any mods. Nobody ever gets back anything close to what they paid for mods, unless they put back the stock pieces and sell out the mods back out separately. And you'd still be losing money. I'd just save it.

eh, i don't care if i don't get it back...
i'm asking quite much for my car & if i don't get it, i'm gonna have my fiance drive it & i'll get a new car, if i do get what i'm asking, i'll let it go... i'm in no hurry to sell it...

Thanks for all the responses, I decided to go with Budget...
