tuning the max

i am about to go back home for spring break and when i get home i want to do some tuning to my max just to get everything in prime working condition. i checked my ecu and it threw me no codes so i am fine there. i bought the max with 94,000 and it now has 106,000. When i bought it, the car was kept in awesome condition but i changed the oil, tranny fluid and belt. next week i am going to flush the radiator and change the hoses and themostat, clean the iac valve, and the throttle body. i was just wondering if there is anything else i need to do to "tune" the car. when i start the car it idles at 1400 which is high and if i put it in gear and then back in park it goes down to 900, but isnt that still high? will cleaning the throttle body and iac valve fix this? if not what will? sorry its so long thanks for the help
