i really enjoyed watching both videos. I just kept looking at the speedo triping out on how fast it was marching up the mph, and laughing at the same time about the max fighting for traction.

your 96 is a serious keeper and all the mods and such are flawless. most excellent !!

noticed a 1500-1800 rpm launch on first video versus 2000 rpm launch on 2nd. the 2000 launch seemed to really knock your 60 foot down big time. plus it kinda kicked on up the rpms, where as the 1500 launch kinda dropped off.

either way though, your leaving a small trail of fire on the track after your passes. keep it up !

Nice! I installed my 3.125 pulley. How ever my 95max revs out at 6557RPMS while my 98 goes up to 6672.

Wow, the speedo needle pulls faster after 6,000rpms its crazy. I've never seen a speedo move that fast in 2nd and 3rd gear in a Maxi

Man that thing scoots!!!

In the first video, his car launches exactly like mine!!! Fairly bad spin then into wheelhop as 5000rpms comes around then a nice wallop of spin into 2nd. Man it sounds nasty.

Congrants! Huge props for such a bad-a$$ time. Damn close to 110 mph. Anything, let alone a Max, doing 110 in the traps is filthy fast.

Makes me think what you could do with a built bottom end, and some juice on top of what you already have.

Way to represent!

thanks guys for all the feedback.

should be hitting 12s soon enough. with a grabby clutch and slicks i dont think it should be too big of a problem.

the vids turned out really nice i think...i took them using the camera mount i made. all the parts at home depot totalled $15 and the most expensive part was the ball joint for the camera to sit on. that was like $45 for a total of $60 and an hour to make.

nice thing about it is that i can bring up the video while i am taking it right on the in dash screen i have. it comes up the same way it does in the flip out screen on the camera. with the screen and remote zoom and start/stop it is really effortless.

thanks again.

that's our man! Excellent run Paul

That thing sounds SICK too! (not really a "vroom vroom", more of a "vrOOOOOOOMMOOMMOOMMOOOOMMMMM")

("how's that go again? yeah, not like vroom vroom, more like vrOOOOOOOMMOOMMOOMMOOOOMMMMM")

I know our motors are built well, but when I say spray, I mean a BIG shot. The thing with building cars to be really quick is things start to break eventually. But until then, happy drag racing.

I said that because it just so happens that the bottom end is gonna be one of the last things to go on a VQ. You'd probably have to look into sleeving the block before the crank needed reinforcing...

paul, very nice runs! the V1 sounds lovely!!

i still remember how impressed i was when we did the group dyno. even NA, your car had MAD pull and put down some strong numbers. glad to see it's still running well.
