External wastegate w/o the nipple on turbo?

How would I make an external wastegate work if there is no nipple on the turbo for the vaccuum line. Heres a pic of what I mean

BTW, the pic isn't mine, but the same turbo

The place fo the nipple is plugged. Is there anywhere else I can attach the vacuum line instead of on the turbo itself?

Also, does the wastegate need a vacuum to open or does it need pressure

you can weld on a bung/nipple somewhere on your intercooler piping before the TB...some even find a boost/vacuum source thats after the TB and use that(the wastegate gets "REAL" boost if you do it this way)

Ok, I have the perfect hole in the manifold for it....but i do need one thing cleared up:

So baiscally when pressure is in the vaccum line, the wastegate opens correct? Someone tried telling me the wastegate needs vaccum to open

Excellent, thats what I needed to know....it's not for my Maxima. Basically, I'm gunna remove the EGR, and use that opening in the intake manifold

Does the feline have a nipple, maybe you can use it? But cats don't cooperate very well in such situations, I've found.

In all our years, we've seen plenty of turbo cars, ones by Greddy, IHI, Garrett, HKS, Blitz, and they all run the sticker to prove it. Now why is it I've never seen anyone run a KKK sticker?

You could just drill into the housing near the discharge flange, tap it and screw in a fitting.
