They do take a while to ship their products. I waited almost 2 months for my intake back in July. They are also VERY hard to get in touch with.

check in the group deal forum for intakes from berk tuning. bryan is a great guy to work with and he has superior quality products compared to frankencar for better prices.

I have a frankencar midpipe. It arrived after a week-and-a-half, but was missing the rubber couplers. I substituted some home depot plumbing stuff. Interestingly, the midpipe kit comes with a rubber hose which connects to the iac, but no pcv hose. frank recommends turning that hose around for better fitment. The kit would have been more complete with a new hose and an additional clamp.

...and the "silicone reducing couplers"

One thing that makes me mad about the company is that after you buy their products, and if you ever need support or have a question, it's nearly impossible to get in touch with them

when the 2001 max came out, my buddy bought a franken car intake for it. It sounded like someone had an empty tin can and a wooden spoon and they were shaking it around clanking them together. I had a stillen intake on my car and it sounded great- deep throaty growl. I now just bought an 04 max and did a little research on intakes and i just cant even bring myself to consider frankencar. It sounded that bad. I dont know if they have improved since then but I there really isn't any other way to find out than to buy a frankencar intake, which I am not prepared to do. It sounds like they really daont care about their customers anyway from what i have read in a few places. Not being mean just dont like it when people fall into these traps. Buy a Stillen save yourself the trouble.

Don't buy from them. I ordered an intake around Christmas of last year. Multiple emails and phone calls have gone unanswered. Basically I p!ssed away $150. If you haven't hit the 30 day limit, file a fraud claim with PayPal. Don't be stuck like me.

I bought an intake for my max last summer. And yes it was a long wait (about 3-4weeks), and they didn't reply to emails, but I did get it, with everything, and I installed it myself (my first ever engine mod on an import), and am very pleased with the results. It sounds great, the turbo clamps are really cool looking, and it was a lot cheaper than the stillen or just about any other intake out there.

mine took six weeks, but they sent blue instead of black. A few phone calls and emails they eventually sent the right color.
