What do I have to do in order to put one of my yellow top optimas into my maxima as primary battery. I know they arent for starting but quite frankly i dont care ill buy another one...

Looks like I have to change the terminals...however is there a kit that would allow me to do that without screwing all the other connections up in the car because the damn 120 amp fuse from the alt is preventing me from connecting the optima.

Optima is smaller than battery which was stock....however I am willing to be anything it has wayy more power.

It will fit. It should fit with some bending, I made a little extension for my terminal.

what about 31 series optimas?

I just checked out Optimabatteries.com and looked at the 31 series optimas...

they are taller (maybe they match the stock battery size)...

and they also appear to have the terminals closer to the sides by atleast a couple of inches..and with almost 200 more CCA's than the standard yellow top...do you think that would fit??

No, they are connected to the rear of the battery. You cant really see them in this picture. The top cables are running to the amps in my trunk...My battery has 2 sets of posts....
