Can anyone beat this? *Vent*

I honestly believe I have set a record for having the most problems in my 03.

Bought my car on July 15, 2002 as a 2003 model. In the past 20 months, i've been to the dealer a total of 45 times (just got back from the 45th time).

I've had the following work done to my car:

New transmission
Center vent rattlings
Seat belt assembly replaced (it wouldn't lock up)
Rattles in the entire dashboard
Five bose head units
Had to get sunroof re-aligned due to tons of wind noise and it was leaking water
Replaced catalytic converter (two out of the three had to be replaced)
Replaced O2 sensors
Replaced ignition coils
Window seal in the rear replaced three times due to wind noise
Shifter (Auto) would not engage, the only way for it to shift was to use shift lock
MAF sensor had to be replaced twice
ECU upgrades
Sunroof switch stopped working. Couldn't close the sunroof so they had to replace something

Car would stall randomly and they're still trying to figure out what's wrong with it

I'm glad I know the master tech very well at the nissan dealer that I go to. He told me that the warranty work that has been done to my car has costed nissan over $6000.

My service repair history is a little over an inch thick. My car's at 32050 miles right now. I wonder how many times I will have to go back before it hits 36k.

Can anyone come close to this? lol.

Ouch, thats pretty bad, do you drive your car to the ground? Or is it just a lemon? I'd try to convince the dealer to buy the car back and get something different.

Yeah, I tried doing that but I bought the car on July 15, 2002. Lemon law in georgia takes in effect as long as the car is within one year OR 12000 miles, whichever comes first. The first 6 months I drove my car, I had over 12k miles on there so I couldn't do anything about it. All the problems didn't happen until I hit 15k miles.

I actaully don't drive it to the ground at all. "Only" floor it probably 10 times a week, and they the current 32k miles on the odo, 80% is all highway miles lol. I wonder how bad it would have been if it was all local miles.

I don't know if I should keep this car when the warranty is up. It feels like half of the car has new parts in it and i mean what else is there left to break? Suggestions? Does anyone else have problems that I didn't have?

My shocks are squeaking like crazy but they're not broken lol.

Actually...yes. My car just went to the dealer today and will be there for a few days. The master tech helped me take off the mods that I did to the car (intake and exhaust) and we put the oem things back in. They called in for the nissan engineers to come and take a look at why my car is stalling for no apparent reason while driving.

Maybe I didn't spank the baby enough during breakin period...

Anyone agree with me that this man deserves a new car from Nissan?

Too bad you can't use the lemon law anymore. About the rattles, I have rattles on my car but I haven't even bothered the dealer about it, maybe I should.

Before I b**ched about the rattles like a ****. Now, I have so many rattles in that car, I Just don't care anymore. Turn the volume up. I've even super glued the screws that holds the glove department.

Each time they would fix one rattle and after a few days, a new rattle would appear. It's endless. lol

Did you ever have the cam and crank sensor recall done on your car? That could be one of the reasons it stalls.

The car stalling sounds like the crank/cam sensor recall.

I'll give it to you, you definetly seem to be taking all these problems with a "grain of salt" by lol'ing after each post. Most people here would be infuriated.

It does suck that your having all these problems, and they only started occuring after 15K miles. If its become more of a burden then pleasure owning the car, I would consider taking the bullet and getting something else.

Strange........you have a Sheer Silver 03, I have a Sheer Silver 03, you started having problems at 15K miles, I'm on 14K miles...............

"Grain of salt" yes indeed. When I first started having the problems, I was mad. Very mad. After 3 months of having the same problems and new problems over and over again, you just loose all of the steam. Eventually I just got to the point that's like "ok...this pos has wasted so much of my time, let's see what else can go wrong" and when a new problem arises, you're like "HA HA Nissan dealer, here i come again!" It has so many problems, I just laugh each time I think about it because when I trade this car in after 36k miles, I will feel so sorry for the buyer.

I've been to the dealer so many times, I don't need to make an appointment. Whenever I go in, they work on my car first. The service advisor knows my car's vin number without having to look by the door. The dealer knows me so well, they actually let me into the car shop area where they work on the cars and actually let me stand next to the master tech and talk to him while he works on my car.

Heck, I even play around with the nissan CONSULT computer while they're working on my car.

After bringing my car in so many times to the dealer, the master tech would even go out to lunch with me and would pay for my lunch sometimes.

Yeah, i've checked into the lemon law. Doesn't apply to my car because of the milage i've put on it in the first year. Made me mad.

Yeah, I hear what your saying. I definetly would NOT wanna be the poor sap who buys your car after you trade it in. But at least the dealership's been pretty cooperative (or so it seems) working with you. Some members here don't seem to have that sorta luck, let alone getting lunch on the house here and there. For them, its a constant battle with their car reliability and the dealership they take it to for service.

I wanna say May of 2002, but I don't remember the date. I'll check and get back to you on that.

I've touched everything besides the steering rack, headliner, tail lights, hard brake lines/fuel lines and most of the body. Engine is waiting for some 10.5:1 pistons.

get in line.

Yeah, im waiting for the honda accord hybrid to come out for the 2005 model year. It's suppose to perform better then the current accord v6 with a gas mileage of the civic!

Besides, I have rougly 4k miles left until the warranty is up. Each time my car needs to be towed in to the dealer, they give me a free rental car. I just pay for gas.

Geez, I think you probably driving a Yugo, probably built by some poor Yugoslavian somewhere in Japan. With all the rattle and squeak you're having. That is highly unusual for a Maxima. I have a 01' already have 31k miles and no problem whatsoever. Do they have bad road in GA or what?
