I am really interested in finding a maxima diagnostic tool. Any on know of any? I know of this one:

It is for Audi and VW's . My friend uses it on his A4 and it is awsome.

Nissan is as proprietary as the damn FBI..

there are 2 tools. OBD-II and the Consult 2. you can get a OBD scanner cheap and read fault codes/clear them etc.

But if you want full access to all possible features of the vehicle, you will need to somehow obtain a consult II computer which costs as a sweet 8k or about that. or beg a dealers service manager to let you play with your car....

see thing is that the consult allows access to a bunch of stuff nissan doesn't want you to know about, or touch.

so short of the consult II (not the 1) you are out of luck (we all are actually).
