looking for basic info or write up on replacing Line Pressure Solenoid Valve (Automat

Anybody have any info on how to repalce this solenoid valve?
I know it sits inside the valve body - is this beyond the scope of home mechanic or should i bring it to dealer and let him handle it.

Well my auto tranny gave me code 1205- Line Pressure Solenoid Valve (Automatic Transmission) and the TCM also gave me 9 short flashes and 10th one was long which indictes problem with -Line Pressure Solenoid Valve (Automatic Transmission). Tranny jerks really bad from 1st to 2nd.
its a 97 Se with 133K and original tranny.

more on the symptoms can be found here:http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=296069

thanks in advance

Nick.

If you have never worked inside an auto tranny, I recommend taking it to a reputable transmission repair shop. You can easily make your tranny worse if you don't do the repair properly.
