Red top injectors

hey, I got my 370cc injectors in the mail, and I'm going to swap them out tomorow. I'm just double checking that I got the right one's from ebay. they're the red top one's. That's the right one's right?

thanks guys,

Nate

No...red are either 91-94 370cc(can work, but needs mods) or 95+ stock Maxima/non-turbo 300Z injectors.

Should be purple or very rare, but StephenMax has them olive green.

Redtop can refer to the engine, not the injector color. The redtop engine is what, the SR20DET? I believe they use the 370 cc/min injectors, but whether or not they will work in the Maxima fuel rail I don't know.

SR20DE(US), SR20DET(JP), 300zx, and Maxima all share the same injectors.

Yeah, red top SR20DET, however those typically come in sets of four, not six.

Maybe he lucked out and someone broke a set to make six.

yeah, I'm talking fitment. the injectors were off a 300zx, they're still attached to the fuel rail. As far as modifying these one's does anyone know what to modify? the guy on ebay said they would fit in a 95-96 300z, should have paid more attention.

Doh~!

Stephen

You'll have to splice the connector and I've *HEARD* use some value resistor to increase the impedance, so the ECU doesn't freak.

If they are 300zx injectors and red in color, they are not 370 cc/min injectors, like Icey said. Can you explain what you meant by red top in your first post?

Yeah, we need so see some pics, because now that I look at the pictures, I think you just bought yourself some non-turbo 300Z injectors, which happen to be the SAME 240cc injectors you already have.

I don't remeber if they were from a TT, now that you mention it, they may not have been. that sucks. ah well, more reason to get the 555's or the 740's. anybody got a place to get em for real cheap?
