Has anyone test n tuned with a lightened flywheel ?

Im looking for any 4th gen owners who have test n tuned with a lightened flywheel versus stock.

Has anyone raced the 1/4 mile and then raced it with a lightened flywheel ? What were your results ?

Any dyno info ?

If none of the above, how about seat of your pants dyno?

You know my opinion on this one- I went with 5 lbs and am 100% glad I did

Unfortunately I dont have dyno results or 1/4 time results to point to. I break wheel traction in first a bit easier it seems...

EDIT: Sorry you wanted actual test and tune responses..

The Fidanza you may see 0.05 and .5mph better 1/4s assuming you can launch well. This mod is more ideal for the road racers than drag racers, IMO. Your money would be better spent on the MEVI/JWT ECU.

sounds good spaniard ! i may live to regret it but i will probably go with the fidanza, and some type of aftermarket clutch. but nothing is set in stone as of yet. with my present situation the tranny has to come first, the mevi will come a bit later.

I don't have any comparisons at the track or dyno with my findanza because I put in the JWT/ECU at the same time and my VI was working around that time either.

So, I don't really know why I am posting...

$350 could be spent better else where for more gains, but I was getting the tranny rebuilt and the clutch replaced so if I was ever going to do it that was the time. Kinda like your situation. I try to do most of the work on my car but I leave the tranny and motor alone. So for me it was the only time to do it.

sounds good mike, im doing about the same thing, im presently trying to figure out what 96-99 I30T (VLSD) transmission will work in my car and looking for information on drivers side axle being replaced.

you think this is the way to go or should i get a new stock one and add phantom grip lsd ? if i do go new i want have any money for the high dollar lsd's so it would have to be that phantom one.
