So I wake up THIS morning and...

My grille fell off my car yesterday... - due to my imperfection of grille installation. I guess I didnt put it on right after doing my AE mod.

So, it had tons of scratches on it...and I didnt have any white paint that I thought would match. So I decided to try something different.

Black.... --- tell me what you think - I'm not sure if I like it...

I don't think it looks bad... Maybe try some silver mesh behind the grill? Oh and get clear corners.

With the AE lights, it actually looks pretty damn good.

Ive got a chrome one on my car I'm dying to get rid of... I'm not fond of chrome. I'm just going to paint it the same color as the body.

The grill got scratched up when it was white, so he painted it black.

I think it looks kinda kool, its different. The white does give it a cleaner look but the black is kinda interesting.

you could use some "jdm" black clear corners to help the look. i like it so far.....but shouldn't every SE come with fogs?
seriously, it looks good. what do you have planned for the car?

Definately different. I dunno, it isn't bad, but it kinda seems a little ackward with the curves of the car. Either way, nice job bijan.

it looks pretty good with the black grille since you have AE style headlight. It really flows well.

Wow Thanks for the comments fellas. See, I DID want to do something different, and I've never seen a black grille on white. But I was weary to do it cuz I didnt know how it'd turn out.

AE corners are comin this weekend...then hopefully it will flow a LOT better. Fogs are comin soon.

yea, the black grill looks better than I thought it would. I think it's gonna look sweet with the smoked clear corners

Im in the middle of doing this same setup. I purchased an extra set of headlights and a new grill. Just waiting on the grill to come in to paint it black and should be donewith it this weekend.
After Madchef posted this pic of my car photoshopped I decided to do it

Looks like you beat me to it.

I never liked the color section on the grill so I painted all flat black about 2 years ago.

I'll be doing something similar with a 97 grill on my 96. I'll be painting the outside vertical posts and the middle horizontal bar red(car is black). Also reverse the front nissan symbol to silver lettering and black burger.

I had the 97 grill on unpainted for fitment reasons(95 bumper+97 grill = DREMEL)
I thought it didn't look that bad at first, but got sick of it in a couple days. The emblem is on with double-sided tape. I would not do it personally, but it's your car
btw: no fitment issues with the wheels

Double sided tapes. Not that hard to get it off. I just went and bought a new one because mine had some rock chips on it.

Looks good on 1MAX2NV's car. I think he was the pioneer of this idea. The reason why it looks good on his car is because it matches his wheels and white on black looks pretty bad IMHO. If u had Sterling mist and black wheels you could probably pull it off too.
