Okay, I need some input on what you all would like in terms of license plate frames.

I need some input on a couple of things:

Black or brushed silver? Any fans of color? (I'm personally not big on that idea)

How about these two styles -- which do you like better?

On this one, the 'www.maxima.org' would be on the bottom in the Maxima.org font and I don't know what would be on the top, if anything.

I thought this one was pretty cool since it was subtle, but stated the point.

I like the bottom one but the letters should have some color

so it would be more visible.

I vote black

since it goes with everything and the brushed silver might not match exactly with rims/trim/etc. License plate is the way to go specially for the 5th gens. My max.org stickers are starting to peel off my license plate frame as you prolly saw at maxus

I like the top design cuz you can see it better and nissan or nismo logos on each side would look gr8 in place of the suns!

Re: I like the bottom one but the letters should have some color

Yeah, but I guess that was what I was really asking -- do people like subtle and classy, or would you rather have something that stood out like the top one?

They're both engraved, but the top one has color injected into the letters, where the bottom one doesn't. The color options are pretty amazing that we could get.

I vote for black with white lettering. It has to be classy and subtle or I'll pass.

My vote if I were to get one

Would be a black plate with either silver, white or red lettering. This would be pretty simple. Either that or the owners could just color match the plate to their car color and do the lettering to their choice.

EX I got my Saleen license plate and it was black with polished lettering. I custom painted the outside gloss black and bead blasted the lettering so that I could paint it gold. This matched my car perfectly since it was black on tan interior, tan top and gold graphics. Customize it baby!

my opinion

i like the second frame better...
the color of the frame don't matter much to me so long as the letters are a different color than the frame so they are visible..

BTW .. Jambo
i think it was ryan fobart forwarded my email to you about maxima.org stickers ... have you gotten it..
if not just tell me how i could get my hands on some stickers ..
Thanx

Re: my opinion

We're getting to the "out" status on stickers, so I'm trying to look at possibly doing some stickers and some license plate frames. That'll satisfy most folks I think.

I've got some calls into folks to see about cost. When I know that for sure, I'll be getting this underway and we can get you some stickers.

I like the silver one but it should have black lettering. Maybe on the top have "got vq?" or something like that and then the 'www.Maxima.org' on the bottom. Just my .02.

Oh yea, where can I get some stickers?

Black here.

Don't really care if there is color in it or not.

I would get one regardless of your final desicion.

The second one is like the one Courtesy sells that says MAXIMA on the bottom and this is what I have on my car now.

i have always had this idea for customizing my frames but never followed through on it:

take a back metal license plate frame and put carbon fiber pieces on top of the black metal using some kind of 3M adhesive.... i have never seen anyone with carbonfiber/metal license plate frames before......this would be a cool custom appearance mod.

If they were like the second ones, I would order some. I like the subtle look, I don't want my license plate frames to be the first thing that someone notices on my car.

OK I know we probably can't use Enjoy the Ride, but what do you guys think about this plate. Just click on "My Photo Album" and then "Maxima Frame".

I'll do a black frame with white as well and post it there.......

What do you think Jambo??

IMO, stock for stock the 4th gen is more of a 4DSC than the 3rd even if Nissan dropped that marketing campaign but regardless, I wouldn't want any slogan on the plate. The Maxima.Org logo is plenty.

I like that one, but maybe with the "ENJOY THE RIDE" on top instead of "THE 4 DOOR SPORTS CAR" and then the "MAXIMA.ORG" on the bottom. Hmmm...

What if...

you called it "4DSC" instead...but I'm sure that the name is protected .
See if Nissan will allow you to use it though.
As for the font...how about the actual Maxima font(if that's not it already)?
Oh, and I like the brushed silver.

Last thing....JJW doesn't know what he's talking about...the 3rd gen is the true 4DSC.

custom

i'm not sure how bright this idea is but. i say the mat silver, and have the letters engraved, and if u want mask the edges off and paint the letters with touch up paint so everyone has a frame with letters taht match the colors of the car.. (ppl gotta get the touch up paint on their own)

I agree. If they want color, let them do it. You know most of us cant leave anything "as it comes" I like the silver with engraved letters.

I'm definitely down with the silver with engraved letters, and either "Driven" or "Enjoy the Ride" up top.

Hmmmmm...

I think the silver with the engraved black lettering.

MAXIMA.ORG on the bottom, and if we have to have something on the top...DRIVEN or ENJOY THE RIDE.

I would prefer the second one

I would buy either one but my preference is the second one because it won't be the first thing to catch your eye. I think that it should have red or black letters. Chestons ideas were also good. Also, where can I get those stickers and for how much?

I would want the second one with black lettering. If we went with a different color we would risk making it so it didn't really match people's cars. Silver with Black will match almost anything. I also don't think it needs to say anything on the top. Maxima.org is fine on the bottom

"4DSC" right on the back quater window.....
I don't have mine anymore. due to window tinting.
I was thinking 4 D S C on top. us an acronym instead of a phrase on top. and the MAXIMA.ORG on bottom.
Defenatley the right kind of frame. two holes on top only!

It looks like we need two colors the silver and black. I'd buy the black, so far maxy is black and white no chrome. But on a gle or gxe...

I think I like it best with nothing on top... Plain... and simple...
