I drove my buddy's WRX a few months ago. The car aside, I really liked the Momo steering wheel that he had. I dont know if it was stock or not, but the airbag was still there.
Can this be done to a Max?

Well, with that, it's a Subaru/Momo cooperation (much like Sparco and Honda for the S2000 seats). Therefore it was designed with the airbag in mind. So really, unless Momo has another steering wheel with an airbag, then you're probably out of luck.
