RPM's, Speedometer dont work sometimes

Lately when I start my 97 Maxima the gauges dont kick on. I'll turn the car off and start it again and they will kick on. When the gauges are not working the alternator also does not give a charge, the automatic windows will not roll down, and the bturn signals will not work. Just yesterday the gauges stopped working while I was driving several times and the check engine light came on. Today I went to Autozone and had them pull the codes. They came up with p0600 and p0705. The P0705 seems to be Evap Control System which doesnt have anything to do with the problem, but I cant find any info on P0600. Any help would be great.
THANKS.... MAXIPAD01

p0600 is a Automatic Transmission comm Line code

Possible causes are:
* Harness or connectors
[The communication line circuit between ECM and TCM
(Transmission Control Module) is open or shorted.]
*TCM
*Dead (Weak) battery

seeing as you have power issues - batterry/alternator /wiring
take it back to autozone and make them do the alternator/battery test

I've have had it tested and replaced the battery already. The alternator was working when the gauges were. When I was leaving the gauges stopped working, so I had them check the alternator again and it was not giving a charge. What do you think?

wow...I was just abiut to start a thread on something similar. For me it's just the speedometer. It just stops working at random times, and then comes back on by itself. Did you have problems with the speedometer before the other problems came along?
