GR2's paired with...

Hey guys... I just got some 18's and i hate the 4x4 look. I just got a summer job and when summer is over i plan 2 have around 4k$. Some goes 2 insurance and the other stuff but i will have money for my car. I want 2 lower it. I have 103k miles on my max now and there shot. Ive done some research and i dont want 2 spend to much so i found the GR2's are a good pick.. If there not what is?

Next.. What kind of springs should i pair them with. I was in the General Forum and i saw all the pics of the lowered maxs and i like the Tein S drop or Sprint. Anything else comparable that u would recommend? I plan on taking a 10 hr drive this summer to Hilton Head Island in South Carolina WOO WOO and i dont want it 2 feel like im driving a nascar the whole way there. Its about a 10 hr drive from here (MD) I dont really mind a to bumpy ride but it just cant be extreme.

Ive read the MaxMod page but its just not the same as people giving me personal experiences. TheBigSandler has probably the most suspension experience ever! lol gotta love his ride.

Well thanks if you guys can help. Just lookin for a nice ride but also some of the performace too. I guess the a little of both worlds.

Thanks again

Sean

The GR-2s won't be able to handle a Sprint drop for a long time. Pair it up with springs that lower your car around 1.5"

Solution for the long trip, wait to put the new strut/spring setup on there until after you get back.

I am going to put some Maxspeed's with GR2's. They have a 1.5" drop.

Is a 1.5 inch drop that much? I guess that will lower it enough. What has a bigger drop H&R or Maxspeed? How are B&G springs? They say they have a 1.6" drop.

The 1.5" drop should give it the stock look that the car should've came from factory. The 2" drop will be more noticeable, but you'll need to buy AGX/Illuminas to handle that drop.

H&R's have about the same drop as the Maxspeed's. However, the H&R's are probably higher quality, and supposed to be the closest to stock for an aftermarket strut.

I would love to have a 2.0" drop, but the rough roads around here will not permit it. I would advise against it if the roads are bad there.

I have gr-2's with maxspeed springs, its not enought tho, looks like any other stock car height, i just ordered sprints, the gr-2s will last about a year give or take as long as you dont do any off roading and go slow over speed bumps cause those are the worst.
