ahhh! easy mod that looks good

Well, today i rewired the front bumper corners so that they light up with the fogs when the parking lights are on. This gives the car a much nicer look at night, or at any time where you just run with the parking lights on.

it was so easy i could not have had an easier job.

I just followed the how to on www.vqpower.com.

The only difference was that i used a little better 1157 bulb housing so that i didnt have to waste money on silicon, and i got a housing that was already water proof.

You can go to any car parts store, and just tell them you need a socket for 1157 bulb on a GM. ( I used part #85830 from Autozone. runs $5.99 a socket)

when i assembled the socket i ran electrical tape around the outside of the socket lip so it will fit snug with the lip on the turn signal housing.

only other thing i had to do was a little trimming on the slots of the opening.
all you need to do is eye-ball it and cut away. I got a extremely snug fit after using the electrical tape and using the provided foam weather seal. Nice thing about it is you can still you the stock sockets should you need to, and they will still fit good and snug with no slippage.

Time to install is about 30 minutes total.

dont forget to get wiretaps while you at it!
