Can anyone tell me where this goes??

I was cleaning the motor a little and noticed this tube just sitting there doing nothing. The end of this tube is cured and I cant tell where it goes.... Can anyone lend me a hand on this one. There is no air being sucked or pushed or any fluid comeing out. I just cant figure this out. Thanks

I just hangs there... That just doesnt make sense to me. The other ends connects on the back lower end of the motor, close to the firewall...

It is coming off the tranny, so it just needs a hose hangin around for nothing? Cause it doesnt suck any air in while the motor is on or anything.

Its there to equalize the internal pressure within the tranny. If it wasn't there to much pressure could build up and bad things would happen.
