Sensoro Silver Bullet Radar Detector

I just bought a Sensoro Silver Bullet Radar Detector today. I've done a lot of research online (www.radarbusters.com) and this seems like the best detector for the money right now. It has a 12 volt cord and can be powered by bateries. Does anyone know how to wire it directly to a power source in the car? I tried the links to the Valentine 1 and Escort 8500 write ups but the links were dead. Thanks for your help.

The valentine one is in a class by itself. Ive had one since 1998, and Ive tried every other "premium" detector that has come out. Passport 8500, 7500 etc, K40, the list goes on and on. I keep comin back to the V1. Its the best, bar none. You will begin to notice how well it really works the more you use it.

Does anyone know if I'll be able to wire it directly to the car? Can I just splice into the wires that power the rearview mirror?

I borrowed my friends Valentine 1 for a 5000 mile roadtrip last summer and loved it. It saved me many times from a ticket. I'll let you know how they compare after I've used it for a while. One thing I realy liked about the Valentine was that it tole you where the radar was coming from and how many sources it was picking up.

let us know, I have the 8500 and love it! much better than my bell or wistler.

You can hardwire any dector. It may be better to run the wire down the Apillar to the fuse box for more power options.

My V1 is wired into my auto rearview mirror, which happens to be a convenient switched 12V source.

Remove the 2 screws from the sunglass holder, remove it -- use a meter to determine which wire is hot (with key on.) The V1 comes with a little hard-wire adapter with a red and black lead. Use its provided crimp tap to tap into the hot wire. Connect the ground wire to one of the 2 bolts you will see in the roof of the car. Run the wires down with the rearview mirror wiring and reinstall the sunglass holder. Done.

BTw -- nothing beats my V1 -- I have far more range than any other detector i've ever used

According to my 02 SM the wires are different colors, BR is + and the B is -. Removed the sunglasses holder and the wiring was as what the manual stated. Is there something I am missing? Will be mounting my 8500 this weekend.

Check with SOOONERFAN...He hardwired his radar detector, and also hid it inside the sunglass holder (since they're illegal here in VA).....

I like my Bel 975R...It's built into the car(small), has laser detector in front(rear view mirror) and rear of the car and plus you can upgrade the software on it which is a plus.

Just hard wire it to the reading lamps which is above your rearview mirror... you can stick the wires through to it... just use a voltmeter.
My 8500 is hardwired to the ZR3 unit which is hardwired to the car. I keep my detector way up high right under the winshield tint so its not blocking it for good radar reception, and the Front and rear laser detectors/jammers take care of laser.. saved me 5 times Got pulled over by COP and asked what I had...... I didnt volunteer anything.
