Need your opinion....

As some of you know, my whole driver side was hit by an unknown driver/vehicle a few weeks back... My garage will free up next week & i'll finally fix it...

Now, I'll be repainting almost half the car so the first thing that's gone is the pinstripe...i think it'll look better anyway....

But, what do you guys think about this...I'll be painting anyway, I was thinking of painting the sunroof visor & the ventshades i have on my doors to make them the body color of the car...

I saw a lexus suv once that had this painted and it looked really really good...

Do you think it'll look corny? I think i'll try it anyway but I wanted to see if anyone here ever did this....

BTW: for those who don't know what i'm talking about... here's a pic (sorry it's dark like that) but you can see what i'm talking about the ventshades on the door, the sunroof visor & the pinstripe gone....

look good or no?

Thanks,
Sam

I don't think it would look that bad to just paint the window shades, but not the sunroof one. I have seen the ones on the window painted before, but not the sunroof.
Then again, you might try it and see how it comes out.

I would have say go for it. Paint all of it. I think that it would look great. It would look unique to all the people that have maximas. There would be no other like you other than the lexus' that have that.

I'm sure it will look good, just make sure to scuff those pieces with some grey scotch brite it's like (600grit). Make sure that the scotch brite is wet, don't do it dry. One more thing you should do is make sure to use a plastic promotor on those pieces before you spray the base. That way the base sticks really good & won't peel or flake off. Another thing to think about is I'm sure those pieces see there fair share of road debre so just remember they will come in contact with the occasional piece of road gravel & possibly get scratched...
