Unorthodox flywheel (5lbs)
Unorthodox flywheel (5lbs)
Anyone own one of these. How do they feel, are they to light and a pain. Let me know what you guys think.
I looked up the fidanza but it does not seem to have one for 1998. Maybe someone has found one for 1998 or used another years and it worked.
Thanks.

5lbs ?!!?!? Where did you see such a thing? That seems insanely light and would be nearly impossible not to stall from a dead stop
I had a 9lb flywheel in a previous car, and to be honest - it flat out sucked for daily driving. Especially if you consider that it was being grabbed by a 3 puck unsprung clutch
Very brutal ...
IMO, you'll only see the benefit of a light flywheel if you plan on road racing (such as SCCA) or drag racing all the time.

I am in the process of deciding my new clutch flywheel setup and would like to know if anyone has a flywheel installed that is not the fidanza because I am leaning towards fidanza because it is a little bit heavier and I drive the car everyday. Just want to know if the gains are as significant as say a 8lb. or 5lb.
