had a fun night last night

I don't understand why my other thread was locked because race threads are allowed on the weekends and nobody locked the BS WRX STI thread last week where the dude had 5 people in his car and won against a STI, but whatever. Last night I also raced a Civic and a Prelude. I don't understand what goes threw these ricers minds when they try to race in their ricey little cars. well, the Civic was ricey, the Prelude was just slow. So I'm driving home from work (I work at a cafe) and there was no one really out on the street and last night the weather was nice so the people that wanted to race were outside. I decided to pick on a couple of ricers but no one was biting, right. So I decided to head over to a spot where people who do want to race hang out. I like cruise around for a bit and I see this dude looking real bada$$ like he was picking for a fight or something. He had like an older model Civic, I dont know which one because all Civics look like sh|+ to me and this one was old. But it was like green and he had a whole bunch of stickers on his windows and this lighting strip down the side of his car and his two front wheels were aftermarket rims and his rear wheels were like stock. He had this huge shift tach light and I pull up next to him and asked him if he wanted to race. He says yeah and we drive around a bit to make sure there ain't no cops around. We are cruising and he's all talking smack and sh|+ saying how I'm a wuss for driving around in a Maxima and that my car is slow. I don't say nothing cause man, the dude drives a Civic, you know? So we hit this long stretch of road where there ain't no openings on either side. There's a park on one side with a fence and the concrete divder on the other and on the other side is a long street also. So ain't noone gonna pop out and there ain't nowhere for cops to hide. So I honk three times and we take off! Off the line, we were even until I hit like 30 mph and then I just take off! lol! I get up to like 90 mph and I slow down at the next traffic light. He comes up and pulls up next to me a minute later and was not happy now. LOL! So he goes, Let's do that again, man. I wasn't ready. Sure whatever man. So we do a U-turn and I let him honk this time. And the same damn thing happens! I smoke the ricer and when he pulls up, he goes, you got like NOS or something, right? I'm like, No. So we pull into a gas station and he wants me to open my hood and trunk. So I do and all I have is a CAI and a sub in the trunk. The guy and I BS for a little bit and he can't believe that a Maxima smoked him.

I bounced and I go to pick up my bros and I'm on the highway and I'm doing like 75 and I pull up behind a Prelude and the guy deciedes to race. So we take off and we were neck and neck for a little bit. I start pulling away and it was all over from there. It wasn't as exciting as the Civic race cause all I did was lay on the gas and I just kept on going and the Prelude never caught up. I turned on my hazards and just keep on going cause I don't wanna talk to the guy or nothing. I go pick up my friends and we're cruising and I'm all exicited about killing the Civic and Prelude and that's when we see the Ferrari. But I won't talk about that because it seems like the mods don't appreciate it or something but whatever.

So I killed this ricey Civic that thought I had NOS when all I had was a CAI and I ripped on a Prelude and Ferrari.

Hey MikeD, this time, do not just lock the thread, delete it all together. What kind of egotistic idiocy is maxima.org supporting here. I thought we were suppose to be talking about 4th gen maximas; not gloating about how big our ego is. Or was it trying to impress others with abhorrant slang? This is why I stopped posting on maxima.org. I suppose I should just leave this forum all together annd quit my whining. I just get tired of reading stupid irrelavant postings about little ricers and their "kills" I am really not trying to be an *** although I am sure that is how I am comming across. Go check out zcar.com. They have a section for this purpose so people who are interested in learning do not have to weed through crap posts. I will go post in the suggestions forum... All that said, I really do not mind a post letting others know how their max matched up to some other car. But this thread... worthless

There's a couple of buns left in the Burger King bag, you wanna kiss them adroitcaptor?

Race and kill stories are allowed on the weekend. I know the rules and didnt post during the week so I posted during the weekend to share my story. My story ain't no different than whats been posted before. Its hypocritical for the mods to lock this race story thread if they don't lock all race story threads. They wanna lock it Monday morning, whatever, its the rules, but during the weekend, I can post this story.

You are a good story teller. Bunch of kids, racing on the road. One day you get pulled away by a cop, then you going to tell us story about how much your insurance went up......

Your metaphor is poorly thought out. I am not humoured or impressed.

Secondly if a moderator does delete or lock this thread it does not make him/her hypocritical. It would, at most, make them biased to intellgent posts. Either way, they are still justified in doing so based on their personal conviction.

Let us review the "Some general 4th gen forum guidelines" sticky.

"This forum is for posts about 4th Gen cars, not just a forum for any post by people who own 4th gen cars." So where in this thread do you more then once mension anything about your maxima? Really what you posted is a story about your interactions looking for a race and the justification you feel you have for racing. Oh lets not forget all your condescending comments.

"People please ... be more descriptive in your subject titles." Not only does your header utilize 1st grade grammar, it does not, in any way, let the reader know he is going to read about your race.

"Please do not abuse this by turning the 4th gen forum into a street racing/kill forum during the weekends." You reposted a locked thread, and by now reposting, you are in obvious violation of this guidline.

"I agree not to:
upload, post or otherwise transmit any content (including images) that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;
advocate illegal activity or discuss illegal activities with the intent to commit them;
post or distribute any material that infringes and/or violates any right of a third party or any law;" and I quote 'advocate illegal activities'. Not only did you state you broke the law, you are promoting your thread of breaking the law. Further more you even state in your post that you justified your street race location by the absence of law inforcement.

"I agree that Maxima.org administrators and moderators have the right to remove, edit, move, or close any thread or post for any reason at any time without notice." This is the last point I will touch on. I think it is self-explanitory.

So in my final analysis, I would say not only are you not justified in reposting; no, I will not kiss your butt. (Yes, I did get your childish metaphor even though is was rank of ignorance.) Have a nice day anyway! Even though you are in obvious opposition of my opinion, I do, whole-heartedly, wish you the best. Take it easy on the streets dude. (There are a reason for those laws and they are for safety not control.)

Maxima.org is being taken over by teenage ricers who don't care to contribute anything of substance. They don't care to learn anything, nor do they take the time to read the extensive amount of information put together by past and present members who actually care(d) about helping each other out and creating a community. Most members who have good information to share and vast expierence with our cars no longer come here, or at the very least don't visit the general forums or specific generation forums becuse they are full of useless junk posted by people who don't care to help themselves. Actual informative posts are few and far between these days. They get buried by neon, bodykit, street racing, hyperwhite bulbs, age polls, post pics of your car, redundant suspension questions, can my car beat (fill in the blank), what does this catback sound like, I want to mod my car but not spend any money, is a y-pipe any good?, along with various other worthless threads.

Redardless if search is not working, 90% of these questions can be anwserd by just reading the stickies or going back a few pages of threads. If you cared enough to even look around this place before posting you would see the "poor man's search" thread in the feedback forum.

Yeah, being you are a moderator, I say you let me know who I need to talk to. I remember back in the day when my transaxle went south getting some help, via a guys webpage, with a how to. People were generally friendly and brought up great ideas of different sorts. Now it is exactly how you describe. I feel like I am back in HS. If this is what maxima.org has to offer, screw it. I can't search for relevent posts and it would take years to page through all this crap posting. OR, just solve the problem and make me a moderator. lol ehhh anyway thanks MikeD for at least being concerned with my view.

some people in this thread just need to STFU!

if you dont like racing or any other threads for that matter than don't read them. its not that hard to avoid clicking on a thread you do not want to read

oh, and how did he manage to keep up with you until 30mph in a civic?

What is this, a forum for stilted bullsh!t?

It is no great mystery that a Maxima can and will beat a Civic. While I am sure you enjoyed the adrenal rush and probably felt like your **** grew an inch or tow from your post - shift at the CAFE stress relief, not many people care.

Most people that come to this forum come specifically to share information on how to service and modify thier cars.

While I am sure you want some internet "Props" cause you beat a Civic, save the stories for when you and your boys are hanging out at the arcade trying to pick up girls.

With that being said, I do not condone what you do because Ihave done it, it is just that it really is not something worth bragging about.

That is all, drive through!

Unless there's a video there's no way that I'll ever believe that you beat a Ferrari. There's no way you can. "Oh the guy missed a shift and turned at the first street" Give me a break. When you said he looked over and smiled at you, well let me interpret for you. He was smiling because he knows that he's driving a Ferrari. Let's just pump out the stats on the F40, shall we:

Max Power: 478 @ 7000rpm
Max Speed: 201 mph, 324 km/h
0-60 Time: 3.5 seconds
quarter mile: 12.0 seconds

Information care of http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~anchsa/f40.htm

If I saw this beauty there's no way I'd ask the guy to race. I'd simply say nice car and carry on with my business. Oh and another thing. You say you had 4 guys in the car, your car couldn't run 16's with 4 guys in the car so how do you think you could keep up with a Ferrari.

I was driven the other day and right smack at the same light with a itch to race was a mitzu mirage. This was about a 01? Anyway he had what looked like a cromed stock muffler. lol On the end he had a 4inch resinator. This thing was lowered, had decals and little 16 inch rims. But the best part was it said "zoom zoom" on the back of it lmfao!! no joke...

You're right I30...i bought a maxima recently, and i am so impressed with the help that is on this site...but yes...this thread is gay. What would be nice though is a web page, not forum, that just gives DIY instructions. Considering there are over 2 million posts on this site...couldn't advertizing help pay a little for that?
