Shortage on Interior Illumination Fuse, plz help.
Problem :: Last night i was driving on a country road and went over a railroad track at about 40 and shortly afterwards i looked down to notice that my speedometr light was no longer working or the park, reverse etc. When i got home i also found out that my taillights were not working
Solution :: Checked fuses , the Bat - 7.5 interior illumination fuse was blown, along with the tailight fuse underneath my hood. I replaced the tailight fuse and it was fixed immediatly, however when i replaced the 7.5 it blew. I tried it 3 more times, once with a 10 to check if that would blow also, they all blew. Talked to an old mechanic that is my neighbor and he sound that it is most likely a shortage from the light lever down, that it wasnt coming from the fuse -> out. He checked all my harnesses and looked for any loose wires and found nothing, he suggested that i remove my panel around the steering wheel and look behind all the gauges
Question :: How do i remove the plastic infront of the gauges, the gauges alone, and what should i really be looking for to solve this shortage if anyone has had this problem before, any help would be great, thx.
